From the Road to Clay
The huacas were born from a journey.
For years, through my documentary project Žít lehce, we travelled by caravan, filming people who were searching for a more authentic way of life. During that time, we were also searching for our own place — a piece of land where life could slow down and become more connected to nature.
My work with clay is rooted in formal training in ceramics, which I studied at a Secondary School of Applied Arts. Here, surrounded by forest, silence and changing seasons, this craft became part of my everyday life again.
Each huaca is shaped slowly by hand, tuned with breath, dried, fired and refined until it finds its own voice.
Handmade huacas for those who seek a deeper sound.
